The mini baskets obviously have everything to do with scale, and as I developed them, my curiosity grew for going big, and bigger. A sort of reverse engineered, multi-gen basket family 📶 Photos by thee @oh.cecilia 🫶🏻

Emily Ridings is a Kentucky-born artist and craftswoman whose work reinterprets the ancestral art of basketry through a modern, intuitive lens. Based in Lexington, KY, Emily creates sculptural and functional pieces by hand using reed and wood, emphasizing sustainability and zero-waste production.
